Why Choose Custom?

Choosing to order custom does not necessarily mean our regular sized options will not work, however, they may not frame your space correctly. Sometimes a space may be smaller or larger than what our standard sized doormat would fit. Deciding to choose custom allows you the freedom to create a space of proportionality and shows an attentive eye for detail. 

When measuring to accommodate for a change in space, it is preferable that the measurement is taken from the centre of the casing around your door. Similarly, if your space has sidelights, we often recommend your measurement be taken two inches past where the sidelight(s) ends. When working with smaller spaces you can measure the maximum width and depth, taking into account any exterior decor. 

Questions to Ask When Choosing Custom:

With custom sizing we handcraft a doormat that specifically fits the dimensions of your space. When deciding to choose custom, it is recommended to discuss the following:

1. What is the maximum width of my space?
2. Are there any additional items in my space (planters, furniture, statuary) which would affect the space available? (measure accordingly)
3. What is the maximum depth of my space?
4. What style of doormat would I prefer (single weave or double weave)?
5. What colour(s) would be best suited?
